New sensory inputs at each stage, as we experience life, is now compared with this past information and then we perceive the world. For example, any new scientific principle is explained based on existing data that is already analysed and classified. If a new chemical element is discovered, it is compared with Mendeleev’s periodic table and positioned as per its atomic number in the new table.
